A Resource Handbook for Schools: Detecting, Supporting and Making Referral for Students with Suicidal Behaviours (2017)

To prevent student suicide, we should aim at early identification and intervention, and cultivate a sense of connectedness with the school amongst students.  In order to help school personnel understand the issue of student suicide and the support measures, the Education Bureau (EDB) published the "Resource Handbook for Schools: Detecting, Supporting and Making Referral for Students with Suicidal Behaviours”.  This handbook aims to provide school personnel with thorough understanding of suicide, including risk and protective factors, knowledge and skills in detecting warning signs of suicide, and practical tips for responding to students’ suicidal behaviours.
